Pooja Pandit has a masters degree in Film Studies, a degree in Education and is a trained Montessori adult for children spanning the ages of 3 years to 12 years.
She found her IKIGAI (the merging of passion, mission and profession) in 2000, when she started her work with children.
Using the Montessori pedagogy to guide her work, Pooja has served children from 2 years to 15 years. She has worked at different schools before co-founding The Earth School in 2008. With The Earth School she sought to create a space which serves children with equal measure of head and heart.
Over the years, she has been a trainer at Montessori training courses and provided consultancy services to Montessori schools helping them build communities that honour the child.
Pooja Pandit continues to run and guide The Earth School, where she also serves as the lead elementary adult for children between the ages of 6 years to 12 years.
She considers her life’s work as service to children in an atmosphere of respect and acceptance.
Ezme Davis started her teaching career in 2002 and co-founded The Earth School in 2008. She has been on our team till the academic year 2018 – 2019.
She has a masters degree in Sociology, is a trained Montessori guide for children between 3 to 12 years, and is a qualified special educator for children with cerebral palsy and autism. She is also a trained yoga instructor for adults and children.
She has served as a lead teacher and mentor in the primary environment for children between the ages of 3 to 6 years. She considers this to be among the most enriching experiences of her life.
Esme believes that educators serve and nurture mankinds greatest resource – children. Commitment to serving children respectfully using the Montessori method, where all children thrive has always been her priority and she firmly believes that learning is a natural, continuous process.
